Middletown, Pa. - The Lady Lions of Harrisburg got into the winning column Saturday by defeating Rosemont 3-1 in the first leg of a tri-match with the visiting Ravens and the Misericordia Cougars.

Harrisburg won their first match of the season in a four set thriller versus Rosemont.  They won the first two sets 26-24 and 25-16 before dropping the third set 26-24.  The Lions were led by seniors Kiara Carter (Bronx, N.Y. / Milton Hershey) and Erin Goodyear (Boiling Springs, Pa. / Boiling Springs) using their experience and on the court and leadership to lead the lions to victory in the fourth set 25-12. 

Unfortunately, the blue and white were not able to continue their hot streak into the second match of the afternoon against a tough Misericordia team.  Harrisburg was blanked in the second match losing 3-0. The lions improve their record to 1-6 on the year.

The Lady Lions will be back in action September 17th at Valley Forge Christian.
