Capitol's 124 points exceeded the previous team high of 106 set against York College (Pa.) in 1969. The victory margin of 49 points tied a school record. New records also set for the team were: most rebounds, best field goal percentage, and best free throw percentage.

Paul Hook, the 6-2 center, set the pace with 28 points. Joe Duda followed with 21 and Larry Chupka had 16 points. It look's as though the team has begun to gel and the club of 10 juniors and two seniors is ready to improve their record.
