Xavier Brown is set to begin his second season as an assistant coach for Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field programs in 2025-26. He works primarily with each program's sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers.

At Penn State Harrisburg, Brown mentors student-athletes and continues to help elevate the program through his technical knowledge, leadership, and athlete-centered approach. He is a distinguished track & field coach and former Jamaican national athlete with more than 15 years of coaching experience across multiple countries and competitive levels. Before transitioning into coaching, he represented Jamaica in the 200m for over eight years, competing with discipline, consistency and a deep commitment to excellence.

His coaching career spans six prominent Jamaican institutions, including Camperdown High School, Calabar High School, Clarendon College and St. Jago High School. Throughout his tenure, he has developed athletes across sprints and relays, helping young competitors refine their technique, strengthen their mindset and achieve championship-level performances.

Brown's expertise extends beyond Jamaica, as he has also coached in Australia and the Cayman Islands, bringing a global perspective to athlete development and training methodologies.

Guided by the philosophy "athletes first, everything else after," Brown is committed to fostering environments where athletes feel supported, challenged and empowered to reach their full potential both on and off the track.
