REEDSVILLE, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's cross country teams returned to action at the Juniata Invite on Saturday morning, Sept. 12.
MaKayla Reichel led the way for the women, while Michael Alder was the top finisher for the men's team. Reichel earned a runner-up finish in a race of 37 total runners, while Alder finished third out of 38 runners. Reichel ran a 19:53.7 in the 5k event to begin the day before Adler finished the 6k race in 21:02.1.
Following Reichel was Margaret Cuthie who secured a top-10 finish in seventh place, while Stephanie Carreon finished 15th. Jocelyn Shields earned an 18th-place finish and Cheyenne Pretty completed the Penn State Harrisburg contingency for the women.
After Alder, Steven Rodriguez was the next-highest finisher on the men's side in eighth overall. Zack Gibson came home 18th, Brandon Everett finished 31st, and Dominic Basselgia rounded out the Penn State Harrisburg runners for the men.
The Lions are set to return to action at the DeSales Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19.
