MOHNTON, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf team turned in a promising round at the Alvernia Spring Invitational at LedgeRock Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon, March 31.
As a group, the Lions finished third out of six competing programs, shooting a +29 (317). Individually, Jacob Lotz turned in one of his best efforts of the season to lead the way, as his +4 (76) was strong enough to secure him a share of third overall out of 33 total golfers.
Isaiah Day was also strong, using a front-nine eagle and a birdie on the back to card a +7 (79) and finish in a tie for seventh overall. Gavin Fegley just missed out on a top-10 finish, with his +10 (82) earning him a share of 12th. Bronson Earley finished one spot shy of a top-20 finish thanks to shooting a +13 (85), while Eddie Ricottone and Quentin Sharp rounded out the group of Penn State Harrisburg competitors.
The Lions will look to carry the momentum into their next outing at the two-day Spring Thaw hosted by Ursinus beginning on Friday afternoon.
