SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's outdoor track & field teams took part in the Jim Taylor Duals hosted by Susquehanna on a chilly Saturday, March 28. 


A number of women's competitors earned top-five finishes, led by MaKayla Reichel's 10,000m effort of 40.35:08. Destiny Samuels finished fifth in the 800m with an effort of 2:29.19 and Katrin Cavanaugh's top clearance of 2.95 meters in the pole vault was strong enough to secure her a fifth-place finish in the event. 


Shaeli McGeary finished third in the triple jump with a top bound of 10.75 meters and she added a sixth-place finish in the long jump thanks to a top leap of 5.02 meters. Elsewhere in the field, Elaina Torta and Isabella McGuire led the way in the throwing events, with Torta's top toss of 40.04 meters proving good enough for seventh in the hammer, while McGuire's best throw of 39.56 meters was strong enough for eighth overall. McGuire added another top-10 finish in the discus thanks to a mark of 30.85 meters. 


On the men's side, sprinters Landon Weldon and Chase Oswald each earned top-10 finishes, with Weldon posting a time of 11.25 seconds in the 100m and Oswald running the 200m in 22.72 seconds. 


In the field, Matthew LaBarge and Ben Miller each recorded top clearances of 3.85 meters in the pole vault to finish sixth and seventh, respectively. Jonathan Luo finished sixth in the triple jump thanks to his best leap of 12.78 meters, while thrower Connor Daubert finished ninth in the discus behind a top effort of 41.36 meters.  


The Lions are set to return to action at the annual Millersville Metrics in Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday, April 4.
