2/27/2026 10:15:00 PM

LANDOVER, Md. - Penn State Harrisburg athletes combined to win six individual conference titles and earn 29 all-conference honors at the United East Indoor Track & Field Championships at Prince George's Sports Complex on Friday, Feb. 27.

On the men's side, Connor Daubert (weight throw), Nathan Cammauf (60m) and Landon Weldon captured gold, while MaKayla Reichel (3,000m, 5,000m) and Katelyn Williams (pole vault) secured championships for the women. As a unit, the men earned a runner-up finish and the women finished third.

In addition to winning gold in the 60m, Cammauf also matched the program record in the event with a blistering sprint of 7.02 seconds. Weldon made a bit of history as well, with his title-winning time of 22.75 seconds in the 200m standing as the second-quickest time in the event in the history of the program. Daubert also broke into the record books, as his gold-winning toss of 14.72 meters in the weight throw proved the third best mark in the event in program history.

Daubert's best throw of 13.51 meters in the shot put won him silver and now stands as the third-best effort in the event in school history. Jonathan Luo earned all-conference recognition in all three jump events, capturing silver in the high and triple to go along with a bronze in the long jump. Jaden Mitchell also picked up three medals, with a silver in the 4x400m relay and pair of bronzes in the 60m and 200m. Kadin Sodmont took the podium three times as well, securing silver as a part of the 4x400m relay team and earning bronze in the 60m and 200m.

On the women's side, Reichel was the lone athlete to capture a pair of gold medals, as she shined in both the 3,000m and 5,000m races. The rookie nearly broke the school record in the former, as her time of 10:55.77 was just one second shy of the program's top mark in the event. She also set a new PR in the latter thanks to an effort of 19:14.78. She added a silver medal to her haul as a member of the DMR team. Williams also set a new PR in capturing gold in the pole vault with a top conversion of 3.05 meters.

Destiny Samuels picked up three medals, taking silver as an individual in the 200m and 400m to go along with another silver as a member of the 4x400m relay team. Katrin Cavanaugh was the team's other multi-medalist, as she secured silver as a member of the 4x400m relay team after taking bronze in the pole vault. The DMR foursome of Reichel, Margaret Cuthie, Stephanie Carreon and Marissa Becker combined to run the second-quickest time in the event in program history at 14:30.55.

Elsewhere in the field, Bassma Torky and Isabella McGuire won silver and bronze, respectively, while each setting a new PR in the shot put, while Carson Villani did the same to take bronze in the high jump. Elaina Torta (weight throw) and Isabella McGuire (shot put) also turned in medal-winning performances in the throwing events.
