LATHAM, N.Y. – A total of 71 Penn State Harrisburg student-athletes from fall programs earned United East All-Academic Team recognition thanks to their success in the classroom during the 2025 fall semester.


To earn the conference's academic distinction, a student-athlete competing in a fall conference-sponsored sport must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher for the fall semester, while remaining in good standing on his or her team.


Among the honorees is all-American, academic all-American and United East Women's Soccer Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year Diana Pon, along with all-region selection and United East Field Hockey Player of the Year Ami Mattingly. All-region women's soccer players Mackenzie Mowery and Ava Myers earned the distinction as well, as did United East Women's Volleyball Elite 21 Award winner Kate Bukowski. Also among the recipients is United East Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Year MaKayla Reichel and United East Field Hockey Rookie of the Year Faith Musser.


Thirteen Penn State Harrisburg fall student-athletes also earned 4.00 GPAs during the most recent semester, including men's cross country's Dominic Basselgia; Will Kim and Josiah Shamberger from men's soccer; field hockey's Mattingly; Reichel and Layna Horner from women's cross country; women's soccer's Pon, Kayla Ash, Kat Eimer and Siena Ondecko; and Bukowski, Mollie Shadle and Camryn Wettstone from women's volleyball.
