SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's indoor track & field teams got one last competition in before their upcoming conference championship events when they took part in the SU Valentine Invite hosted by Susquehanna on Saturday, Feb. 14.

On the women's side, thrower Elaina Torta had herself a career day, finishing fourth in the weight throw thanks to her top toss of 13.81 meters — the second-best mark in program history in the event. MaKayla Reichel continued her strong rookie campaign by finishing fourth in the 5,000m thanks to a time of 19:16.63. Her effort in the event stands as the second-quickest time in program history. Jumper Shaeli McGeary also earned a fourth-place finish in the triple jump behind a top leap of 10.59 meters.

Elsewhere, jumper Carson Villani just missed out on a top-10 finish, as her 1.43 meter bound in the high jump was good enough for 11th place. Thrower Isabella McGuire earned a pair of top-15 finishes in both the shot put and weight throw, while pole vaulter Katelyn Williams came home ninth in the event with a top clearance of 3.10 meters.

Connor Daubert led the way for the men, capturing a ninth-place finish in the weight throw thanks his longest toss of 13.98 meters. Matthew LaBarge also secured a ninth-place finish in the pole vault behind a top clearance of 3.85 meters, while sprinter Landon Weldon finished 16th in the 60m with a burst of 7.25 seconds. Jacob Elmer also secured a pair of top-15 finishes in both the long jump and triple jump events.

With the regular season now behind them, the Lions will turn their attention to the United East Indoor Championships on Friday, Feb. 27.
