MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Thanks to his athletic and academic success this season, Penn State Harrisburg men's track & field athlete Sean Myron has earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition.
The 2025 Academic All-District Men's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes men's track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Myron turned in a memorable senior campaign as one of the program's top throwers and was named the United East Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year for his efforts. At the conference's outdoor championship event in May, the senior racked up 29 individual points, winning the conference title in the discus before taking silver in the javelin and bronze in the hammer. He secured all-conference first-team honors in the discus, second-team recognition in the javelin and third-team honors in the hammer. At the United East Indoor Championships in February, the Swiftwater, Pa. native won gold in the weight throw and took bronze in the shot put, securing first-team all-conference recognition in the former event and third-team honors in the latter.
Myron recently completed his career ranked top-three all-time in program history in the shot put (indoor - 13.58m), weight throw (14.42m) and javelin (52.26m). His efforts helped lead the men's track & field team to its first outdoor conference championship in program history this spring.
