LATHAM, N.Y. - Home to the conference's top overall men's athletic program this past season, Penn State Harrisburg secured a runner-up finish in the 2024-25 United East Presidents' Cup standings.
The Presidents' Cup, awarded to the school with the most overall athletic success each season, is determined by a scoring system which rewards schools for their success during both regular season and postseason competition.
"This is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, athletic department team and campus community who all work cooperatively to support and maintain highly successful athletic programs," said Rahsaan Carlton, Penn State Harrisburg director of athletics.
Penn State Harrisburg displayed athletic excellence throughout the entirety of the 2024-25 campaign, with all 17 athletic programs making postseason appearances and four programs capturing conference championships.
Women's soccer won the United East Championship in November in thrilling fashion, besting St. Mary's (Md.) in penalty kicks before both men's and women's tennis swept the Seahawks in May to secure conference championships for the second consecutive season. Last month, men's outdoor track & field memorably capped off the year by winning its first conference title in program history. Baseball, men's soccer and men's indoor track & field also earned runner-up finishes at their respective championship events.
Penn State Harrisburg claimed the top spot in the men's standings, while finishing second to St. Mary's (Md.) in both the overall and women's standings.
