WASHINGTON, D.C. - With outstanding efforts aplenty, Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams wrapped up their historic weekend at the United East Outdoor Championships hosted by Gallaudet on Sunday afternoon, May 4.

The men's team scored 234 total points and captured its first-ever conference championship, besting seven other programs in the process, while thrower Sean Myron was named the United East Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year for his efforts. The women earned a fifth-place finish out of 10 competing programs, while men's and women's athletes combined to win 10 individual conference titles and secure 24 all-conference honors.

Myron racked up 29 points himself, winning the conference championship in the discus before taking silver in the javelin and bronze in the hammer. He also finished fourth in the shot put and tallied three all-conference honors to earn the conference's men's field athlete of the year recognition.

Jonathan Luo capped his impressive freshman campaign with a pair of conference titles in the triple jump and high jump events. His top leap of 13.62 meters in the former stands as a new United East Championship Meet record. He also clinched silver in the long jump to earn all-conference recognition in all three events.

Sprinters Nathan Cammauf (100m) and Kadin Sodmont (200m) won gold in their respective individual events and also teamed with Keegan Gray and Stephen Bogovic to win a conference title in the 4x100m, as well as Kyle Davis and Zakareya Aidel to capture a championship in the 4x400m relay. Thrower Oluwa Kinti earned a conference crown in the shot put and silver in the discus.

Aidel took silver in the 400m hurdles and bronze in the 100m hurdles, while Sodmont finished as the runner-up in the 100m. Tony Pelino earned a runner-up finish in the pole vault, while fellow pole vaulter Matthew LaBarge came home third in the event. Connor Daubert (discus), Gray (200m) and Daniel Risser (400m) each secured bronze in their events as well.

A pair of women's athletes in Katrin Cavanaugh and Carson Villani captured conference championships, with Cavanaugh winning gold in the pole vault thanks to a program-record clearance of 3.36 meters, while Villani was the top competitor in the high jump.

A pair of throwers also garnered all-conference second team honors, with Isabella McGuire taking silver in the discus and Isabella Seibert earning a runner-up finish in the javelin. Elaina Torta took bronze in the discus, earning all-conference third team recognition in the process.
