HARRISBURG, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf program played host to the United East Championship Preview event held at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 2.
As a group, the Lions carded a +22 (310) to secure a runner-up finish out of eight competing teams, while
Jacob Lotz picked up a trophy when he earned a share of second place out of 47 total golfers with an effort of +2 (74).
Nicholas Fowler and
Gavin Fegley also secured top-10 finishes, with the former securing a share of sixth overall thanks to a +4 (76) and the latter coming home eighth after shooting a +5 (77).
Bronson Earley just missed out on a top-20 finish, coming home 22nd with a +11 (83), while
Robert Carey finished in a tie for 23rd after carding a +12 (84).
Isaiah Day completed the Penn State Harrisburg contingency with a +13 (85) that earned him a share of 25th place.
Penn College won the team title with a total score of +20 (308), while Penn College's Gunner Redmond took the individual championship by shooting even (72).
The Lions get a few extra days off before returning to action at the two-day Lancaster Bible Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club on Monday afternoon, Oct. 13.
